ABOUT
The Dragon Academy was founded by Darren Fitton in 2008 with the following aims:
- To provide authentic high quality traditional martial arts instruction to people willing to learn, in the face of a rise of commercial-minded 'McDojo' babysitting clubs and the popularity of large national health clubs teaching 'martial arts-ercise' classes.
- To provide genuine martial arts instructors and students a platform, environment and home from home to practice and further their arts with like-minded people in a way that would not have been affordable or feasible in more commercial situations.
- To help encourage friendship and cooperation on all levels, but especially between martial arts clubs that often see other martial artists as purely competitors or even enemies.
